Thepresidentpost.id - Indonesian President Joko Widodo (Jokowi) visited Beran Market, Ngawi, East Java, Saturday (11/03/2023) morning. His visit to the market was to check directly the prices of basic necessities, one of which was rice.

" Smart rice huh ? Is this the Bulog? How much?" asked the President to Galih, one of the basic food shop owners.

"Rp 9,200, sir," answered Galih.

"A lot, this (rice from Bulog) helps the common people, sir, it really helps," continued Galih.

The President also said that the SPHP rice from Bulog was of good quality.

"This quality is also good," he said.

In a separate statement, Galih explained that he sells medium rice at IDR 10,500 per kilogram, while SPHP rice from Bulog costs IDR 9,200 per kilogram. According to him, the presence of rice from Bulog is enough to help the community.

"The medium one is Rp. 10,500, this one is Rp. 9,200, so the difference is good enough to help," said Galih.

Apart from checking the prices of basic necessities, the President also distributed a number of social assistance and basic food assistance to traders and the public who were present at the market.

Accompanying the President on this occasion was Cabinet Secretary Pramono Anung, East Java Governor Khofifah Indar Parawansa, and Ngawi Regent Ony Anwar Harsono.
