Jababeka Launches Job-Ready Disability Scholarship Program Inaugurated by the Minister of Manpower
Thepresidentpost.id - Cikarang – PT Jababeka Tbk officially launched the Ready-to-Work Disability Scholarship Program as a form of commitment to support the placement of workers with disabilities. This program was inaugurated directly by the Minister of Manpower of the Republic of Indonesia, Prof. Yassierli, S.T., M.T., Ph.D, in the Advocacy for Placement of Workers with Disabilities event held by the Directorate of Domestic Labor Placement Development at the Holiday Inn Cikarang Jababeka, last Monday (25/11).
The event was opened with a symbolic ceremony of the Ready to Work Disability Scholarship Program which was attended by Vega Violetta as the Director of PT Jababeka Infrastruktur representing PT Jababeka Tbk. with the Minister of Manpower of the Republic of Indonesia, Prof. Yassierli, S.T., M.T., Ph.D, and continued with Advocacy for the Placement of Workers with Disabilities which was divided into 3 sessions. This agenda aligns with Law No. 8 of 2016 concerning Persons with Disabilities.
This event aims to realize the government’s commitment to respecting, protecting, and fulfilling the rights of persons with disabilities, especially the right to work.
“This is an important priority that we must pay attention to together and this is also in line with President Prabowo’s 4th agenda, which is to strengthen the development of human resources, science, technology, education, and the strengthening of women, youth and people with disabilities,” said the Minister of Manpower of the Republic of Indonesia.
Through this program, PT Jababeka Tbk fully supports government programs and shows concern for inclusive human resource development, especially in providing access to training and job opportunities for people with disabilities.
“We fully support the government’s direction to develop abilities and opportunities for people with disabilities to work and have a career in the industry. Therefore, in the future, we hope that companies in the Jababeka Industrial Estate will join and collaborate in the Ready-to-Work Disability Scholarship Program in the coming years,” said Vega Violetta.
In her remarks, Vega Violetta emphasized the importance of collaboration between the government, the business world, and the community in creating an inclusive work environment.
“Through this program, we not only provide opportunities but also empower them to become a competitive and independent workforce. This year, we initiated the Ready-to-Work Disability Office Administration Training and Certification Scholarship Program, which is designed with reference to Sustainable Development Goals Indicator 8 (Decent Work & Economic Growth) which is one of the goals to support inclusive and sustainable economic growth. With this office administration training and certification, it is hoped that it can increase their chances of joining the world of work, especially in the Jababeka area,” he continued.

Not only providing training, this program is also expected to be an inspiration for other business sectors to provide equal opportunities to all individuals without discrimination.
The Job-Ready Disability Scholarship Program offers specialized training designed to improve the employability skills of people with disabilities. Thus, they can be better prepared to face the needs of an increasingly dynamic world of work.
“Ladies and gentlemen, a total of 70 prospective participants have registered to take part in this program. After going through several stages of strict selection, finally, 20 participants were selected who were entitled to receive this scholarship program. We congratulate you on your selection to participate in this program. We believe you are part of an inclusive and equitable future of work,” continued Vega Violetta.
The event was attended by a number of important figures from various sectors, including government representatives, business actors, and the community of people with disabilities. With this successful launch, it is hoped that more companies will be moved to pay similar attention to the placement of workers with disabilities.
PT Jababeka Tbk. hopes that this program will be the first step towards the creation of a more inclusive work ecosystem in Indonesia, as well as making a real contribution to improving the welfare of people with disabilities.
