Thepresidentpost.id - Hanoi Viet Nam - More than 500 guests, including government officials of Viet Nam and ambassadors, attended the commemoration of the 78th  anniversary of the Independence Day of the Republic of Indonesia and the 10th anniversary of the Indonesia-Viet Nam Strategic Partnership at the Hanoi Opera House (27/09), hosted by the Indonesian Embassy in Hanoi.

“Indonesia and Viet Nam had a challenging start to our journey in 1945. However, with grit and the vision to go forward, Indonesia and Viet Nam have continued to grow, and today have become strong economies", stated Ambassador Denny Abdi during his speech, followed by underlining the need to foster cooperation and collaboration to strengthen the already established relationship of Indonesia and Viet Nam.

These sentiments were shared by Guest of Honor H.E. Mr. Đỗ Hùng Việt, Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of Viet Nam during the diplomatic reception, affirming the strong Viet Nam-Indonesia relationship that was built upon the close ties between the great founders of the two countries, President Ho Chi Minh and President Soekarno.

Moreover, Mr. Hoàng Đạo Cương, Deputy Minister of Culture, Sports, and Tourism of Viet Nam, noted that both Viet Nam and Indonesia are currently experiencing robust economic growth. This, he believed, presents a favorable opportunity to further deepen bilateral cooperation, including in the field of culture and the arts.

The diplomatic reception was followed by an Indonesia-Viet Nam joint cultural performance in collaboration with the Ministry of Culture, Sports, and Tourism of Vietnam. The event featured performances from the Jakarta-based Timutiwa Choir, the Viet Nam National Music, Song, and Dance Theater, the Vietnamese alumni of the Indonesian Arts and Culture Scholarships (IACS), and the Viet Nam Dance Academy.

The joint cultural performance left the audience in awe with a closing all-stars performance covering the popular Vietnamese song “See Tình", reflecting the warm friendship and solidarity that has been forged by the two countries.

The commemoration of the 78th  anniversary of the Independence Day of the Republic of Indonesia and the 10th anniversary of the Indonesia-Vietnam Strategic Partnership received positive reviews from the media as well as from the audience, successfully embodying the message of collaboration and cooperation.
