Increased by 156%, The value of Chinese investment in Indonesia Will Reach USD8.2 billion
Thepresidentpost.id - Jakarta, Deputy Minister of Trade, Jerry Sambuaga gave a speech at the 3rd Opening Ceremony of the OCTF 2023 Intelligent Technology Exhibition which was held at JIEXPO Kemayoran, Jakarta, Tuesday (28 Nov).
The Deputy Minister of Trade explained that bilateral relations between Indonesia and China were increasing. The value of Chinese investment in Indonesia in 2022 will reach USD 8.2 billion. This value increased by 156% compared to 2021.
The Deputy Minister of Trade also said that President Jokowi's visit to China some time ago had resulted in 11 business agreements between companies. The agreement is worth USD 12.55 billion for several priority sectors, namely energy, batteries, steel, data and technology, and the health industry.
The ASEAN-China Center is actively synergizing Belt and Road Cooperation with ASEAN regional and national development strategies, especially the master plan "ASEAN Connectivity 2025". Both parties have also made joint efforts to realize the vision of the ASEAN-China Strategic Partnership 2030.
The Deputy Minister of Trade hopes that this exhibition can provide many benefits for both parties.
