Thepresidentpost.id - Jakarta, April 10, 2023 – Committed to supporting the Government's program in accelerating the use of battery-based electric vehicles (KBLBB) for road transportation, PT Bank Mandiri (Persero) Tbk (IDX: BMRI) collaborates with Volta, a member of PT M Cash Integrasi Tbk (IDX: MCAS) group, to provide convenience for customers to purchase Volta electric motor products through easy credit financing for electric motorcycle ownership.

Through this collaboration, Bank Mandiri will provide sales services for Volta electric motorcycle products in the Livin' by Mandiri mobile application, specifically in the Livin’ Sukha feature. Director of Network and Retail Banking Bank Mandiri, Aquarius Rudianto, said that this collaboration is the Company's support in realizing government programs, one of which is the use of 2 million electric vehicles by 2025 with a target of reducing emissions by 29% by 2023, and net zero emissions by 2060.

Volta is one of the domestic electric motorcycle brands that consistently strives to maximize its role to provide a leading experience for users driving electric motorcycles. Volta also continues developing technical specifications and infrastructure for its Battery Swap Systems, spread across over 200 locations in various cities throughout Indonesia.

"We aim for this collaboration to provide convenience and accessibility for customers with  an electric motorcycle. Interested customers can immediately purchase products without hassle through the Livin' by Mandiri application on the Sukha feature," explained Aquarius.

Aquarius added that in addition to supporting government programs, this initiative is also a solution for people looking for more efficient and environmentally friendly transportation alternatives.

Other complementary products were also launched and can be accessed by customers on the Sukha feature, including the sale of electric motor accessories in the form of batteries and chargers, Battery Swap System (SGB) Vouchers, and Electric Motorcycle Rental Vouchers. Bank Mandiri and Volta, MCAS Group, will also present special prizes for the first 100 Bank Mandiri customers who purchase electric motorcycles through Livin' Sukha. Prizes include jackets, helmets, and gloves.

“The public can also take advantage of a discount program of up to Rp. 250,000 for the purchase of Volta electric motorcycles and accessories and a 50% discount program of a maximum of Rp. 25,000 for the purchase of electric motorbike rental vouchers in the Sukha feature of the Livin' by Mandiri application during the program period,” said Aquarius.

Iwan Suryaputra, Chief Executive Officer of Volta, mentioned, “The collaboration between Volta and Bank Mandiri has the potential to provide accessibility to Volta electric motorcycles for more than 17 million Livin' by Mandiri users. Furthermore, purchasing transactions for Volta electric motorcycles, vouchers, or accessories will be safer as they are done through the Livin' by Mandiri application. We believe that we can accelerate the transition to electric vehicle usage in Indonesia with good collaboration and strong commitment between Volta and Bank Mandiri.”

Jahja Suryandy, Managing Director of PT M Cash Integrasi Tbk, added, “MCAS Group sees that the development of electric vehicles in Indonesia has great potential. The Group is committed to continuously strengthening the electric vehicle ecosystem through strategic collaborations to support the acceleration of electric vehicle usage and the realization of the net-zero emission target in Indonesia.”

Bank Mandiri consistently supports using electric vehicles in Indonesia, which experienced a 383%  increase in national sales in 2022 compared to the previous year. This is reflected in Bank Mandiri's support at the G20 event and charging station support at Bank Mandiri's head office.

Aquarius explained that Bank Mandiri is optimistic that consumptive lending will grow positively throughout 2023, driven by public consumption trends in the motorcycle vehicle segment, following expectations of continued domestic economic recovery and increasing household spending. This is also followed by the digitalization of Bank Mandiri, which provides easier access for customers.
