Meet President Jokowi, Palestinian Ambassador Appreciates Indonesia's Endless Support
Thepresidentpost.id - Indonesian President Joko Widodo (Jokowi) received the Palestinian Ambassador to Indonesia, Zuhair Al-Shun, at the Merdeka Palace, Jakarta, on Friday (24/03/2023).
In his statement after the meeting, the Palestinian Ambassador expressed his appreciation for Indonesia's continuous support for the struggle of the Palestinian people to achieve their independence.
"The President of Indonesia also always closely follows all developments that occur on the ground in Palestine, and in this case the Indonesian government strongly rejects various kinds of violations and policies that violate Israel, and this is what the President of Indonesia said today. ," said the Ambassador of Palestine.
Furthermore, the Palestinian Ambassador explained that his party also conveyed to President Jokowi about the latest developments and the dynamics that are happening in Palestine. He also believes that consistent support does not only come from the Indonesian government, but also from all elements of the nation.
"We believe that Indonesia will never change and we see that this support has always been consistent, both from the side of the government and all elements of the Indonesian nation. We once again convey our respectful greetings to the President of Indonesia and also the entire Indonesian nation for their consistent support for the Palestinian issue," he explained.
During the meeting, the Palestinian Ambassador also congratulated all Muslims in Indonesia on the arrival of the holy month of Ramadan.
"I feel happy to be able to meet His Excellency Mr. President to convey his congratulations on Ramadan for the arrival of this blessed month and we hope that Indonesia will become a developed and prosperous country," he said.
Also accompanying President Jokowi in the meeting with the Palestinian Ambassador, namely Foreign Minister Retno Marsudi.
