Ahead of Ramadan, President Checks Availability of Staples at Mendenrejo Blora Market
Thepresidentpost.id - Ahead of the month of Ramadan in 2023 AD/1444 Hijriah, Indonesian President Joko Widodo (Jokowi) has again checked the availability of basic commodities in the community.
This time, Friday (10/03/2023) morning, President Jokowi visited Mendenrejo Market, Kradenan District, Blora Regency, Central Java.
"That's what we want to check, is the stock condition there or not. There is no supply. What is the price like," said the President when giving a press statement after the inspection.
Even though it is located in a remote area, said the President, the price of basic commodities such as shallots and cooking oil in Mendenrejo Market is quite good compared to a number of other areas.
“Earlier, shallots cost only Rp. 30,000, the others I saw yesterday were Rp. 38 [thousand], Rp. 40 [thousand], here it is only Rp. 30,000. I also see good oil, Rp. 14 thousand to Rp. 15 thousand. I think prices are still in good condition here, even though they are in remote areas," he said.
Apart from checking prices and availability of basic commodities, on that occasion the Head of State also distributed social assistance to traders and the community around the market.
Also accompanying the President during the visit were Cabinet Secretary Pramono Anung and Central Java Governor Ganjar Pranowo.
