The government has also targeted Indonesia's economic growth in 2023 to be at 5.3% year on year . Indonesia's very positive economic growth in the midst of global challenges has also succeeded in bringing Indonesia into the world's spotlight.

The Coordinating Ministry for Economic Affairs in charge of national economic policies and strategies is also determined to provide the best performance for the progress of the Indonesian economy. Under the leadership of the Coordinating Minister for the Economy Airlangga Hartarto who is also the Chairman of the Committee for Handling Covid-19 and National Economic Recovery, the performance of the Coordinating Ministry for the Economy so far has helped Indonesia take off from the crisis caused by the Covid-19 pandemic.

At the end of 2022, the performance achievements of the Coordinating Ministry for the Economy were also marked by the success of escorting the Sherpa Track at the grand celebration of the Indonesian G20 Presidency. Led by Coordinating Minister Airlangga as Chair I of the Sherpa Track, the important role of the Coordinating Ministry for Economic Affairs is participating in increasing world trust in Indonesia and convincing investors. Various economic agreements and international commitments were also produced at the G20 Summit in Bali last November.

To continue the impressive performance of the national economy and to maintain Indonesia's momentum which has become the world's attention, all levels of the Coordinating Ministry for Economic Affairs held a Leaders' Offsite Meeting (LOM) in Denpasar, Bali, Saturday (4/02).

The Coordinating Minister for Airlangga, who chaired the meeting, stated that this meeting had strategic value because 2023 was an important year. Performance and achievements in 2023 will become a legacy . The Coordinating Minister for Airlangga also emphasized that national economic growth is not only about positive growth, but also quality growth, which can create a multiplier effect .

"2023 is the year that will determine whether Indonesia can remain in the world's spotlight or not," said the Coordinating Minister for Airlangga.

In the meeting which was also part of a series of working visits to review KEK in Bali, Coordinating Minister Airlangga said that there must be a trickle down effect of economic growth, partly because employment in various sectors is very important for the community.

The Coordinating Minister for Airlangga directed that the partnerships established by the Coordinating Ministry for the Economy with Ministries/Agencies to expand employment opportunities must continue to be encouraged. In addition, performance on various strategic issues must also be maximized, including Indonesia's Chairmanship in ASEAN in 2023, where Coordinating Minister Airlangga also serves as Chair of the ASEAN Community Economic Council.

"This LOM is expected to prioritize a number of strategic things," concluded the Coordinating Minister for Airlangga.

Secretary of the Coordinating Ministry for Economic Affairs Susiwijono Moegiarso said during the meeting that the LOM of the Coordinating Ministry for Economic Affairs this time was held to convey performance achievements for 2022 and work plans for 2023.

The meeting was attended by all Echelon I Officials, Special Staff, Assistance Teams, Expert Teams, and Officials Echelon II of the Coordinating Ministry for the Economy took place in an atmosphere full of warmth and familiarity.
