Indonesia's Participation in the Embassy Exhibition in San Luis
Thepresidentpost.id - San Luis, Peru - From 26 to 28 May 2023 the Indonesian Embassy in Lima participated in an exhibition specifically for foreign embassies in Peru. The exhibition is organized by the City Government of San Luis and is located at Villa Deportiva Nacional - Peru's National Sports Center Complex located in the San Luis district, Metropolitan Municipality of Lima.
Exhibition for foreign embassies like this is the first held by the City Government of San Luis. Apart from Indonesia, the embassies participating in the exhibition are India, Republic of Korea, People's Republic of China, Palestine, Turkey, Poland, Hungary, United Kingdom, France, Russia, El Salvador, Guatemala, Panama, Mexico, Paraguay, Ecuador, Dominican Republic and Costa. “I am sure that this exhibition will be a gateway for thousands of Peruvians, especially the Metropolitan Municipality of Lima who will have the opportunity to interact directly with representatives of the embassies and will receive various information about study/scholarship opportunities, commercial transactions, exports and imports, travel tours, traditional food, dance and culture from the representatives of the participating countries” said the Mayor of San Luis Ricardo Pérez when opening the exhibition.
The Indonesian booth displayed videos and information about economic potential, tourist destinations, an introduction to scholarships from the Government of Indonesia, an introduction to Indonesian products in Peru and traditional Indonesian cakes, such as putu ayu, pukis, croquettes, kelepon and chicken satay.
The Indonesian booth was also decorated with a pair of mannequins dressed in traditional West Sumatran clothing, which attracted the attention of visitors by taking pictures with the mannequins and taking photos wearing traditional Indonesian clothing.
Indonesian products displayed in this exhibition are: Coconut Milk, Kentucky Flour, Packaged Spicy Sambal (PT Sasa Inti), Fried Indomie (PT Indofood), Bango Kecap (PT. Unilever), I´M Coco Drink, Nata de Coco (PT . Niramas Utama), Artisan Professionel brand artificial eyelashes from (PT Cempaka Kreasi Sekawan).
During the exhibition, the Indonesian booth was visited by more than 400 visitors. Most of the visitors asked for information on Indonesia's leading tourist destinations, the latest regulations on tourist visits to Indonesia, information on Darmasiswa Scholarships, Developing Countries Partnership Scholarships, Indonesian Arts and Culture Scholarships and consular regulations regarding visiting visas to Indonesia.
On the main stage, apart from conveying information about Indonesia to visitors directly, an information film on Indonesia's leading tourist destinations and the film Angklung produced by Saung Angklung Mang Udjo were also shown. Visitors were amazed when they watched the video where the song Cholo Soy No Me Compadezcas (a folk song by a composer from Peru) was sung to the accompaniment of the angklung and the strains of the bamboo groves in the Angklung film, so that afterward more and more people visited the Indonesian booth.
During the exhibition, the Indonesian booth was visited by more than 400 visitors, some of whom were the general public, tour operators, students and students who wanted to get to know Indonesia better.
